Bonjour, Curious Crowd! My family just returned recently from our trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. I spent a lot of time planning outfits for this trip because let’s be honest, it’s important to look cute at Disney World. So if you’re looking for ideas for different outfits to wear to each park, take a look into my Look Book!

My Bags

Just as important as your outfit is the bag you’re bringing to the parks. I had three main bags that I alternated between while at Disney World. When we had a day in which I knew I was going to be carrying more things, such as our day at Magic Kingdom where Aylah had an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, I would use my Loungefly Beauty and the Beast backpack. On the days where I was traveling lighter I used my Vanlison Sling Bag. If we were returning to the park in the evening or weren’t going to be spending a full day in the park, I brought my Tangled cross-body purse from Her Universe. I love this pure for the way it looks but I will be honest the button on the front broke off within the first three months and has since been repaired twice, so this isn’t the best bag for everyday use which is unfortunate.

Day 1: Epcot

Our first day was spent in the Future World part of Epcot. I’ve seen the Galaxy wall that they’ve had up for a while since they are working on the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, in addition to Spaceship Earth and Mission Space, so I knew that I wanted to have a space themed outfit for this park. I paired my galaxy print skater dress with Spaceship Earth themed ears for an out of this world look.

Day 2: Magic Kingdom

I knew that I wanted to have matching outfits with my nerdling at least one during our trip. We wore matching mom and daughter shirts which are customizable, paired with denim shorts, rose gold sneakers, and rose gold ears.

Day 3: Animal Kingdom

I really wanted to embrace an earthy, safari look for this park. Unfortunately this exact Little Mermaid tank top that I bought from Wal-Mart is no longer available but you can find a similar tank top from Fifth Sun at Wal-Mart. I paired it with green shorts and my green Sanuk yoga mat slings, and my Simba necklace.

Day 4: Epcot

We had a character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno which features Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, Ariel, and Prince Eric. I wore his lovely Tangled dress from Her Universe, paired with the floral ears I bought in the parks, and my Sanuk gold flip flops. I also bought the golden sun necklace on Etsy.

Day 6: Disney Springs

On this day we took a rest from the parks and visited Disney Springs. My Lilo inspired dress by CowCow was purchased on Amazon. They have so many great skater dress options. I also purchased a plumeria  barrette and necklace from Etsy.

Day 7: Mother’s Day at Magic Kingdom

My one big splurge on this trip was Mother’s Day breakfast at Be Our Guest. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie of all time so I wanted to theme my outfit to it. My tank top and necklace came from Hot Topic. The sheer chiffon kimono was light enough to wear that morning but I did end up removing it once the day got a little hotter. The yanktop and necklace I wore from Hot Topic are no longer available but I recently ordered a new Belle tank top (link below) and found an alternate Enchanted Rose necklace you could wear.

Day 8: Universal

We ventured away from Disney for one day to visit Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. Our main goal here as Harry Potter fans was to visit the Wizarding World. Somehow two Hufflepuffs produced a Slytherin. All three of our tops were purchased from Hot Topic. They are no longer available but I have since ordered a new Hufflepuff tank top (link below) and will be ordering the matching Slytherin tank top for Aylah. I also purchased my Hufflepuff bracelet set from Amazon.

Day 9: Last Day at Magic Kingdom

Of course we had to end our trip at the most Magical place on Earth. I bought my seashell tank top from Amazon but worried it may be a tad see-through so I bought the purple tank top to go underneath it. I also bought my Little Mermaid seashell necklace from Hot Topic, and finished the outfit with green shorts to represent Ariel’s fins.

When going to any theme park, comfort is definitely key so make sure that you try each piece that you intend to wear in advance so you can make sure it will be comfortable for you. The same goes for shoes! I know we all want cute shoes to go with our outfits but you will be walking roughly ten miles a day so you will need shoes that will stand the test and not kill your feet. The Sanuk slingbacks were actually pretty comfortable for Animal Kingdom. The Sanuk flip flops, though they are comfortable for normal wear did not feel very comfortable after a few hours. The majority of the time I ended up wearing my old pair of Fila sneakers.

What do you like to wear to Disney or Universal? Let us know!

Stay Nerdy!
